WITH EYES TOWARD THE FUTURE

Regardless of how beautiful the past may have been, we cannot go back.  The rest of our lives must be lived in the days ahead.  It has been good to look back- to shed a tear of joy and one of sorrow, but now we must focus on what is yet to be.

In recent months the Pursley church has been doing just that - aligning itself and trying to catch a glimpse of what God has in mind for the future of this wonderful group of Christians.  Of all the times to be a part of the Pursley church, I would choose NOW!  It appears we are on the threshold of a promising and bright future.  At nearly every service we are seeing new faces, and behind every face there is a life- a life that is filled with both good times and tough times- just like yours and mine.  If we are the church we're supposed to be, we will strive to meet those needs.

Our first hundred years have brought us many challenges, but now we have to look beyond "Precious Memories" and focus on today's realities and the uncertainities of tomorrow.  There is, however, one certainty- God is already in our future waiting for us.  When and if tomorrow comes, we can rest assured He will have our journey well planned.
